Wolf-Tech is a Berlin-based engineering consultancy founded by Sandor Farkas. We bring senior-level PHP/Symfony and React/Next.js engineering to teams that need delivery confidence, not bench-warmers.
Background
Sandor has been writing production software since 2006, long enough to have lived through the full lifecycle of technologies that are now considered legacy, and to understand why so many systems accumulate debt over time.
Wolf-Tech was founded in 2006 and is based in Berlin. Sandor works with clients across Germany and the EU, in English and German. Today the focus is on companies whose business-critical PHP or JavaScript software lacks developer capacity: because there is no in-house developer, the only developer has left or is out sick, or a developer role is still open.
Stacks
On the backend the focus is PHP, mainly Symfony. On the frontend it is JavaScript and TypeScript with React and Next.js, plus Node.js. Around that: MySQL, PostgreSQL, Docker and CI/CD. Older versions such as PHP 5 or 7 are no reason to turn a project down.
Kinds of projects
Many engagements start with an existing codebase: migrating aging PHP, untangling monoliths, or introducing modern tooling to teams that have worked with constraints for years. Clients are mostly mid-size European companies that need a reliable technical partner rather than a short-term contractor.
Projects have covered FinTech, healthcare, e-commerce, real estate, education and travel. Right now Sandor is modernizing 15-year-old legacy software in the medical sector while it stays in production.
